Keith Shaw (born Vancouver, Canada) taught Art and Photography at Pender Harbour Secondary School on the Sunshine Coast, BC from 1998 to 2019. Currently he teaches the Art Program at Chatelech Secondary in Sechelt, BC. After briefly studying at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design he received a BFA at the University of Victoria in 1994. In 2016 he received a Masters in Education in Simon Fraser University’s Contemplative Inquiry Program.
Shaw has exhibited his work across Canada and the US, including Presentation House’s 2014 fundraising auction – SEPTEMBER ISSUE N°/2; Raise the Roof at White Columns, New York City, 1998; Fandom at White Columns, New York City, 1997 and Faces of Canada at the Canadian Museum of Civilization, Ottawa, 1992.
He has been the recipient of the International Public Relations Program Grant, Canadian Consulate General, New York in 1997 and the John Wyatt Price Book Prize For Photography, University of Victoria in 1994.
His work has appeared in the New York Times.
